Itis a very simple climbing puzzle and you just need to interact with the 4 switches that control the defense system. Once the defense system is down Desmond really begins to start seeing images. You will play as Altair again. Follow your target until you get to the large tower. Climb up the tower to the very top and watch the cutscene.

Thereare some towers that have a very specific path to climb them unless you have the climb leap glove, you probably just missed the hand holds. (Glove looks like ezio's normal leather glove but with metal plating on it.) You can unlock it about sequence 4 from leonardo. Im already at this point and havent had any problems climbing the towers.
BloodyMaresMay 22, 2020 @ 2:36am. It is a known issue caused by built-in DLC "Bonfire of Vanities" aka Sequence 13. The thing is, during Sequence 13, the monk came to the rule in Florence and abolished brothels (no courtesans) and apparently mercenaries weren't welcome as well.
